Spring Has Sprung!

April 8, 2019

Spring is a beautiful season to have a wedding. There are so many colourful florals coming into bloom and the days are gradually getting longer...

If you're having a wedding in the spring, you may be wondering how to reflect this pretty season into your styling choices.

Below I have stuck to a colour palette of pastel pink, purple, gold and white but you may prefer to experiment with a wider use of colours. With such a wide variety of flowers in season this time of year, think about what type of flowers you want to use. In the example below, I've used an arrangement of tulips in simple glass vases but you might want to experiment with some gorgeous pink blossom trees, peonies, anemones, gypsophila or even daffodils. I've used a white tablecloth paired with a flouncy cotton runner in blush pink to delicately introduce further colour into the tablescape design.

I loved the idea of using florals as a backdrop and took inspiration from my previous tablescape, 'Jewelled Opulence' recreating the hanging floral garland, this time using tulips. Candles such as these from Curious Egg always add a sense of occasion to a tablescape and look fantastic paired with gold accents.

See below for 5 further ways to incorporate this gorgeous season into your wedding styling...

 1. Dried Floral Cakes

Dried edible flowers are having a moment right now and are being used in all different kinds of ways from cakes to sweet treats!

2. Chanel Your Inner Child

Who doesn't love a good old fashioned Easter egg hunt? It's an inexpensive way to add a little fun, and trust me, the big kids will love it!

3. Floral Cocktails

Try mixing things up by offering your guests a floral cocktail rather than a glass of champagne. Rose water is always a winner..!

4. Fluffy Friends

What beats having your dog at your Wedding? A cute little lamb of course! Petting Zoo's are becoming increasingly popular at Weddings and are a sure way to wow your guests with something a little different..!

5.  Floral Aisle

I mean, does it get any prettier? A floral aisle is a guaranteed way to impress your guests - just make sure you can reuse your florals elsewhere to avoid any wastage!
